15-20 layers of latex paint (many are colors rejected by clients at home improvement stores) are painstakingly laid onto custom wood panels. Once dried, I then carve into the surface leaving multi-colored depth traces throughout the design, sometimes plumbing deep enough to expose the wood underneath.
